Hi, I’m Cris Higa – welcome to The Buddha Flow!
I’m so happy you’re here. Think of this blog as a little corner of the internet where we can talk about all things Buddhism in a way that feels real, approachable, and inspiring. Whether you’re just starting to explore Buddhism or have been practicing for years, my goal is to create a space where everyone feels welcome.
A few years ago, I found myself looking for something deeper – a way to connect with myself and the world around me on a more meaningful level. Life, as you know, can feel a little chaotic sometimes, and I was craving peace, clarity, and purpose. That’s when I discovered Buddhism.
Now, don’t get me wrong. It wasn’t some instant, magical transformation. Buddhism isn’t about quick fixes; it’s a journey. But what I found was a set of teachings and practices that felt like home. It gave me tools to navigate life’s ups and downs with more compassion, mindfulness, and understanding.
The Buddha Flow is a space where we explore Buddhism in a way that flows with modern life. Let’s face it – not everyone has hours to meditate or a quiet retreat to escape to (though that would be amazing!). Most of us are juggling jobs, families, and a million responsibilities. That’s why I believe Buddhism should fit into your life, not the other way around.
Here, we’ll talk about mindfulness, meditation, compassion, and how to live with intention. We’ll dive into Buddhist teachings, share practical tips, and explore how these ancient wisdoms can help us navigate the challenges of today.
But this blog isn’t about being perfect or “getting it right.” It’s about learning, growing, and being kind to ourselves along the way.
The heart of The Buddha Flow is community. Buddhism teaches us that we’re all interconnected, and I want this blog to reflect that spirit. Whether you’re looking for a beginner’s guide to meditation or a deeper dive into Buddhist philosophy, I hope you’ll find something here that speaks to you.
This is a place for questions, curiosity, and conversation. I don’t have all the answers – no one does. But together, we can explore this path and support each other as we learn.
So, grab a cup of tea (or coffee – no judgment here!), and let’s dive into this journey together. Explore the blog, try out some of the practices, and most importantly, take what resonates with you.
Buddhism is a practice, not a prescription. It’s about finding what works for you and creating a life filled with more peace, kindness, and joy.
Thanks for stopping by. I’m so excited to connect with you and share this journey. If you ever want to reach out, feel free to drop me a message – I’d love to hear from you.
With gratitude,
Cris
